Saugeen Shores has two fully accessible splash pads suited for children of all ages and abilities. The splash pads are free of charge for all residents and visitors to use.

The splash pads are generously supported by the Port Elgin & District Lions Club, the Rotary Club of Southampton, community donors and grants.

  • July and August: open daily from 10:00am to 8:00pm
  • June and September: open weekends, weather dependent

Port Elgin & District Lions Club Splash Pad

The Port Elgin & District Lions Club Splash Pad is located at North Shore Park in Port Elgin.

Southampton Rotary Accessible Splash Pad

The Southampton Rotary Accessible Splash Pad is located at Jubilee Park next to the Rotary Accessible Playground.

Rules of Use

All persons using the splash pad do so at their own risk. The Town of Saugeen Shores is not responsible for and accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury or death claim suffered by any person related to the access and use of this area, however caused.

  • Smoking, food and drink, dogs, skateboards, roller blades and wheeled shoes and bicycles are prohibited on the splash pad.
  • This splash pad is not supervised. Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Attire: swim suits and/or appropriate attire must be worn at all times. Footwear is recommended. Infants and toddlers must wear swim diapers.
  • No climbing on spray equipment.
  • Splash pads may be closed or use limited at any time because of weather. In case of lightning or thunder, all persons must vacate the area.
  • The use of soap, detergent or shampoo is not allowed on the splash pad.
  • People with communicable disease, open sores or skin infections are not permitted to use the splash pad.
