Free family event at Nodwell Park on October 7
Saugeen Shores, ON; Plans are underway for the community’s first Glow Rider Family Bike Night. On Saturday, October 7 from 4:30 to 7:30pm kids and families are invited to decorate their bikes with lights and glow sticks and come to Nodwell Park in Port Elgin to experience the excitement of riding their colourfully decorated bikes at dusk.

Coulter Parkette and Green Street between Goderich Street and Waterloo Street
The Town of Saugeen Shores has worked closely with the Port Elgin BIA to make planned capital improvements to the Goderich Street Streetscape in a phased approach.  The Town committed to the reconstruction of Coulter Parkette, located on the northwest corner of the Green Street and Goderich Street intersection, in the 2017 Capital budget.

The Bruce County Highways Department is having their second of three Hazardous Waste Days in Saugeen Shores in 2017.
This special event is for the handling of household hazardous waste only.  Commercial or Industrial waste, or volumes, will not be accepted.   Residents are encouraged to return motor oil, paint etc., to point of purchase or recycle where possible.  Empty containers (dried up paint containers) are to be recycled or disposed of with household waste.

A public input session was held at the Southampton Town Hall on June 8 at 7:00 pm regarding the notion of twinning the Southampton Town Hall and the Southampton Library. The session was facilitated by  3stones architecture+design  who have been working with the Southampton Town Hall Ad Hoc Commitee.
Public input is welcomed to guide the direction of the conceptual design.
