Burning Restrictions in EffectSaugeen Shores Fire Deparment have now issued Burning Restrictions. The Burn Ban is in effect for Burn Piles (Controlled Burns), however, small recreational fires (1 meter x 1 meter) are still permitted as long as they are continuously monitored, have a means to extinquish and must be 3 meters away from any building, structure, hedge, tree, fence, highway, roadway, overhead wire or combustible material of any kind. For Burn Piles (Controlled Burns) residents must contact the Saugeen Shores Fire Department prior to the burn for permission. Contact: 519-389-6120
