Trails
Whether you want to run, bike, walk, or roll, Saugeen Shores has a variety of trails for all seasons. In the warmer weather the area is beautiful for walks down our Maple lined streets, or along the water on our sandy beaches. There is great cycling along the Shoreline Rd., with rugged trails through local woods and the Provincial Parks, as well as safe family cycling along the protected Saugeen RailTrail. If rollerblading is more your speed there is a rollerblading loop in Nodwell Park away from traffic, as well as a paved path along the lake starting in North Shore Park. In the fall the beauty of the colourful leaves adds a little extra colour to all area trails. In the cooler months there are many different ways to get around Saugeen Shores. With over 1000km of snowmobile trails in Bruce County with close access to District 9 trails. snowmobile enthusiasts make Saugeen Shores a destination. If you want a slower way to enjoy our winter wonderland there are a variety of groomed cross country ski trails in Beiner's Bush. Many adventurous souls also enjoy bundling up and exploring the Provincial Park's skiing and snowshoeing trails, and winter camping in Yurts. The area is rich in natural beauty creating the perfect backdrop for our variety of trails. |
