Ice Skating

Skating is offered at the Plex in Port Elgin and the Coliseum in Southampton usually from October 1 to March 31, so bring your skates and join in the fun! Please refer to the events section of our site for specific dates and times that public skating is being offered.  For cancellation, special holiday skate times, sponsoring a skate and other information contact the Town of Saugeen Shores at 519-832-2008.

The Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey Association (tykes and midgets games, power skating course and goaltending program) offer enjoyment for all.  Check out the house league teams as well as the travelling teams for novice, atom, peewee, bantam, and midget age groups. Perhaps girls midget and peewee teams would be of interest or various tournaments and regular play.   For more information contact the SSMHA President, Len Perdue at 519-389-3811.

The Saugeen Shores Figure Skating Club is offering four different age group programs: Canskate, junior, intermediate and senior. The program typically runs from September to March, with a second session beginning in January for newcomers.
