Thank you to everyone who voted and to the team of dedicated volunteers

Saugeen Shores is celebrating its big win in the Kraft Heinz Project Play contest, as the community takes home $250,000 to contribute to the development of Lamont Sports Park.

The Lamont Sports Park project will feature amenities for all ages in addition to sports fields, with discussions underway for new accessible trails and an accessible playground.

“It is a proud moment for Saugeen Shores,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau. “Every person who voted, hung up posters, set up and staffed the voting room, encouraged others to take part—your dedication brought this win home for us.”

The Town would also like to offer congratulations to the other three finalists in the contest and wishes them all the best in their projects: Larch Hills Nordic Ski Club in Salmon Arm, British Columbia; Lanigan & District Waterpark in Lanigan, Saskatchewan; and Twin Elm Rugby Club in Nepean, Ontario.
