Saugeen Shores Fire Department
We provide fire safety, education and protection services through the Saugeen Shores Fire Department. Our fire department is made up of about 50 dedicated local volunteer firefighters, a full-time Chief and Deputy Chief, a fire prevention officer, training officer and a Customer Service Coordinator.
Saugeen Shores Police Service
Our Saugeen Shores Police Service is available at all times of day and night, seven days per week. Our police service is made up of 22 sworn officers, one full-time and four part-time Special Constables, eight auxiliary officers and three civilian staff.
We cover about 171 km² of area, including 432 km of roads, which includes Highway 21 and County roads.
Ambulance and Paramedic Services
The County of Bruce Paramedic Services provide ambulance services to the Town of Saugeen Shores. The County's team includes 100 paramedics who provide pre-hospital care to residents and visitors of Bruce County.
The County of Bruce Paramedic Services also respond to medical and trauma emergencies using a fleet of 12 ambulances and three supervisor units.
Water Rescue
Water rescue and ice rescue services are provided to residents and visitors in Saugeen Shores.
