Council Appoints New Committee Members

On January 29, 2024, Council approved the following resolutions:

Municipal Heritage Committee Resolution

• That Council appoint Linda Doll and Merri Fergusson as members of the Municipal Heritage Committee, and,
• That Council accept the resignations of William (Bill) Streeter and Katie Rice from the same committee.

Council is grateful to both outgoing members for their work: Bill served as a member for nine years and has been a wellspring of knowledge and history, while Katie provided great insight and energy.

Environmental Ad Hoc Committee Resolution

• That Council appoint Odette Bartnicki, Dan Dychuck, Cathe McIntosh, Brent Proud and Victoria Sandre as citizen members of the Environmental Ad Hoc Committee, and,
• That Council appoint Cheryl Grace and Bud Halpin as Council representatives for the same committee, with Cheryl Grace serving as Chair.

Council approved the Terms of Reference for the Environmental Ad Hoc Committee in December.  It is a working committee based on Council-approved recommendations from the previous Environmental Stewardship Committee.  The appointed members are all Saugeen Shores residents with a passion for preserving the environment, bringing varying expertise and experience.
