Bruce Street Acquisition
Bruce Street is a collector road and its connection from Bruce Road 25 to Concession 10 is outlined in the Town’s Official Plan. This report recommends the acquisition of land between Bruce Road 25 and Sunset Boulevard.

Landfill Optimization Environmental Assessment Proposed Terms of Reference
The Proposed Terms of Reference for the Waste Management Environmental Assessment (EA) for Landfill Optimization has been completed and is presented at this meeting for Council consideration.

Fund Transfer to Goderich Street Resurfacing and Asphalt Resurfacing
On February 20, 2025, the Town of Saugeen Shores received two tenders for the Goderich Street Resurfacing Project, with the lowest bid of $3.97 million exceeding the approved budget by $1 million, and on February 18, 2025, five (5) tenders were received for the 2025 Asphalt Resurfacing Project, with the lowest bid of $432,000 exceeding the budget by $132,000, prompting a request for additional funding from the budget transfers from other projects as detailed in this report to cover these increases.

Fire Services Dispatcher
The five-year Fire Dispatch Services agreement with Owen Sound Emergency Communications ends on December 31, 2025. A fire specific and economically responsible agreement with St. Catharine’s Fire Dispatch Services is recommended to realize projected savings of approximately $500,000 over 15 years.

Communications:
- City of Woodstock Resolution- Speeding, Distracted Driving and Impaired Driving. Council referred this item to the Police Service Board.
- City of Toronto Resolution - Buy Local, Buy Canadian Campaign. Staff was directed to return to Council with a report containing recommendations on this matter.
Business Arising from Closed Session
Mayor L. Charbonneau reported that during the Closed to Public Session, Council deferred the Closed to Public minutes. Council discussed matters relative to litigation, receiving advice subject to solicitor-client privilege regarding a Confidential Human Resources Matter relating to an identifiable individual. As well, Council provided direction on a plan or instruction to be applied to negotiations relative to Shady Lane.
