Committee of Whole and Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month, with the exception of holidays. The Committee of Whole is a committee consisting of all members of Council that recommends an item for approval by Council. The item still requires Council's final approval, which typically takes place at the next Council meeting held in two weeks’ time. Visit www.SaugeenShores.ca/Meetings to see all meeting dates, agendas, minutes, and webcasts.

Engineering Services Staffing Update

On August 8, 2022, Council approved removing the Manager, Asset Management from the organizational structure that was approved as part of the Municipal Service Delivery Review (MSDR). This position was funded in the 2022 Budget and therefore a salary surplus was created. The report further recommended that the salary savings be utilized in both the asset management and engineering teams to support increased capacity for service delivery. This report recommends the creation of the Asset Management Supervisor and Development Engineering Supervisor positions. These positions would be funded through a combination of salary savings arising from removing the Manager of Asset Management from the structure, and an estimated additional allocation of $49,500 (including benefit and payroll costs).
