Extension of Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA)

The deadline for new CEBA applications has been extended to June 30, 2021. This will allow more small businesses to get the support they need as they continue navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information, and to apply, visit the CEBA Announcement page.

Business to Bruce

Bruce County businesses can now access free digital marketing services thanks to a new partnership between Bruce County's Business to Bruce program and Small Business Centres Ontario.

To succeed with lasting digital marketing efforts, Bruce County business owners can now get free, professional help with digital marketing, including:

  • Social media
  • Website development
  • E-commerce
  • Content marketing
  • Branding

 One-on-one digital marketing services are provided free-of-charge through Frontline Web Consulting. Frontline will work alongside business owners to understand, support and achieve their digital marketing goals through partnership, insights and creating a compelling digital presence.

Patio Applications

Although patios are not permitted during the Stay-at-Home order, Town staff are still available to support and process applications for the 2021 patio season for when restrictions are lifted. The season will run from April 1, 2021 to October 30, 2021 provided there are no restrictions in place from Public Heath or the provincial Government.

As in 2020 the Patio fee has been waived for 2021.

Those interested in applying can contact the Economic Development Officer at heather.hyde@saugeenshores.ca with questions and to start the application process. Applications can be submitted at anytime during the season.

Please note that only businesses looking to use Town property for their patio need apply.

Additionally, patio installations may be eligible for Bruce County’s Spruce the Bruce Grant program under the Facade Improvement and Patio Grant. More information on the grant program can be found at www.sprucethebruce.ca.
