Mask and face covering requirements among COVID-19 measures to lift at municipal facilities
Effective Monday, March 21, mask/face covering requirements to enter most indoor public settings including municipal facilities, were removed. This follows the next step of the Ontario government’s reopening plan and further easing of public health measures.
Patrons will no longer have to wear a mask or face covering to access these municipal facilities or programs, including at the Centennial Pool and arenas. Patrons and employees may continue to wear a mask or face covering if they choose to.
Other changes effective March 21 include lifting screening requirements for the public before entering facilities. Patrons should not enter or participate if they have COVID-19 symptoms; and are reminded to follow the self-isolation requirements and self-monitoring recommendations set by the Province. The Centennial Pool will follow a phased approach as it returns to full operational capacity, with full details outlined on the Town’s website.
As facilities and programs continue to return to normal, patrons are reminded that everyone plays a role in keeping our recreation environments safe for our residents, employees and visitors. When attending these places and activities, please demonstrate respect for yourself, respect for others and take responsibility for your actions.
