North Shore Road Closure Starts Monday

The Town is resuming its shoreline rehabilitation work along North Shore Road, starting Monday, February 12th. 

The road is closed to through traffic south of Bushwood.  For safety reasons, all travelers -- motorists, cyclists and pedestrians -- must use Fenton Drive as a detour between Bushwood and McVicar.  

The Town is working to fix the trail and protect the road, after several years of high-water levels eroded the shoreline. 

This year's plan is to rebuild the slope up to the existing trail and rehabilitate the surrounding area.  Crews will then reconstruct a three-metre-wide (3m, or 10 feet) trail beside the existing road. The project also includes the removal of the stairs leading down to the water that a newly-constructed ramp replaced last year.

The work is expected to last until Spring 2024.
