NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PASS BY-LAW TO REMOVE HOLDING SYMBOL
Monday, January 13, 2025 at 6:30 pm
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Saugeen Shores intends to pass a By-law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, 1990 to remove the ‘h’ holding symbol from the subject lands shown on the attached Schedule ‘A’.
Subject Lands:
LTS 1 TO 15, BLKS 16 TO 19 AND ACTON DRIVE on DRAFT PLAN OF SUBDIVISION dated February 28, 2024 by Brent England, OLS, of PT LTS 46, 47 AND 48, LAKE RANGE, (Saugeen Township), Town of Saugeen Shores; being part to PIN 33268-1390(LT).
The Holding “h” provision applies to the lands in Phase 3 of the Woodlands Subdivision (S-2021-002). The holding provision was applied to the land in 2021, and requires site plan control approval to be granted, and serving allocation be completed, before the holding can be removed. Changes to Section 41 of the Planning Act now exclude developments that contain 10 or less residential units from the Site Plan Control requirements. Tree retention, building envelopes and servicing allocation have been appropriately addressed through the Subdivision Agreement.
The removal of the ‘h’ Holding symbol will be considered by Saugeen Shores Council at the Regular Council (Planning) Meeting on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in a hybrid format (virtual or in-person) at the Nuclear Innovation Institute, located at 620 Tomlinson Drive, Port Elgin, ON N0H 2C0.
