Notice of Work: High Street Sanitary Sewer Lining

The Town of Saugeen Shores has retained PipeFlo Contracting Corp. to carry out sanitary sewer lining work as part of the High Street Reconstruction Project. The work will take place from 173 High Street to 233 High Street, starting the week of February 24, 2025, weather permitting.

Location of Work:

• From: 80 meters west of Albert Street (approx. 173 High Street)
• To: 80 meters east of Albert Street (approx. 233 High Street)

Scope of Work: 

• Flushing and video inspection of the sanitary sewers
• Accessing the sewer system via maintenance holes at both ends of the work area

Duration:

• One (1) business day (8 hours). Work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, as per Town bylaws

Service Interruptions: 

• No interruptions to sanitary service during flushing for the CCTV work scheduled for next week.

Traffic and Parking Impacts: 

• Phased work to minimize traffic disruption, with one lane open in each direction at all times
• Temporary reduction of 5 parking spaces during active work

Upcoming Work (Over the next 8 weeks):

The following activities will take place over the next 8 weeks, and reasonable advance notice with schedule and impact will be provided as more details become available:

1. Sewer Pipe Preparation Duration: 1 day (8 hours)
2. Installation of Sewer Lining Duration: 2 days (16 hours)
3. Lining and Sealing of Laterals Duration: 1-2 days (8 hours/day)
