Saugeen Shores Hosts First Vaccination Clinic
The Town of Saugeen Shores in partnership with the Grey Bruce Health Unit and Bruce County EMS hosted the first local COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in Saugeen Shores on March 3, 2021.
Yesterday’s clinic provided the first dose of COVID-19 vaccinations to local health care workers, firefighters, Saugeen Shores Police, Ontario Provincial Police and other first responders in our area.
"Given the success of this local clinic, we hope to continue to work with the Grey Bruce Health Unit to offer many more vaccination opportunities right here in Saugeen Shores," said Mayor Luke Charbonneau. “Working with public health, local doctors and local pharmacists, we hope to minimize the need to travel to other communities by supporting familiar and local vaccination options.”
On March 3rd, Public Health issued a news release that speaks to vaccine roll out and specifies residents should not call their healthcare provider, nor medical offices for an appointment at this time. Public Health has stated a 1-800 number and online booking system will be available by March 15, 2021.
