Town Launches Saugeen Shores App

The Town is excited to launch its new Town of Saugeen Shores mobile app for Apple and Android devices. The portal allows residents and visitors to access everyday municipal information on:

• Waste collection
• News and Notices
• Community Events and Calendars
• Parks, Trails, and Facilities
• Applications, Licences and Permits
• By-Law Enforcement
• Careers
• Info on Council Members

The app also allows the municipality to send out notifications to app users, including emergency alerts. Funding for the project’s start-up costs comes from a One-Time Efficiency Payment from the province.

“This app gives residents and visitors another avenue to access Town business and information,” said Kara Van Myall, Chief Administrative Officer. “It follows the Municipality’s guiding principles of communicating in a timely and effective manner, while striving for openness in everything we do.”

The app also includes section for users to provide feedback so staff can make changes as needed.  While the app doesn’t cover all services, it provides contact information for users to contact the appropriate departments.

iPhone and iPad users can download the app from the Apple App store.  Android users can download the app from the Google Play store.  Both stores offer the app for free.
