Town takes next step towards Lamont Sports Park

Staff will finalize business plan for proposed facility in the coming weeks

Tonight Saugeen Shores Committee of Whole received the Lamont Sports Park Concept Plan presented by Sports Turf International in consultation with the Town’s Lamont Sports Park Advisory Committee.

The plan provides opportunities for a phased-in approach to construction. Construction can occur when the municipality and community are ready and when it makes sense to proceed to the next phase.

Now that the Advisory Committee has supported the consultant’s work, Town staff will finalize the business plan for Council’s review.

“We are pleased to receive the proposal for this facility,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau. “And Council looks forward to seeing the business plan once it is completed.”
