Code of Conduct

Members of Council and members of the Committees of Council (also called local boards) are required to follow a Code of Conduct. Every municipality in Ontario is required by the Municipal Act to have a Code of Conduct and to have an Integrity Commissioner. The Integrity Commissioner for the Town of Saugeen Shores is Principles Integrity.

Included in the Code of Conduct are the guidelines for the conduct expectations for members of Council and local boards, the process for making an inquiry request to the Integrity Commissioner, contact information for the Integrity Commissioner, and forms for requesting a inquiry under the Code of Conduct or the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act.
