The Committee of Whole is made up of all Council members. It is designed to streamline discussions relating to Saugeen Shores municipal business. Staff put their reports on the Committee of Whole Agenda to be discussed at the meeting.

If the Committee of Whole makes decisions on the reports presented, a recommendation is forwarded to Council at the next meeting for final approval. This separation of time between the discussion of an issue at Committee of Whole and the final decision gives Council time to investigate the issues before a final decision is made.

Town Council and the Committee of Whole meet on the second and fourth Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

If a regular meeting falls on a public or civic holiday, the Council meets at the same hour on the next day that is not a public or civic holiday.

An Open Forum is available at the start of the Committee of Whole for anyone wishing to speak to an item on the agenda during the 15 minutes before the meeting.
