Incentives
Saugeen Shores is known for its attractive, competitive incentives that work for you and your family, no matter what stage of life. Physicians that practice family medicine and provide emergency room coverage are eligible for generous financial support that can include rent subsidies, moving expenses, an option for turn-key medical space, office expenses, and even an interest-free loan to help with a down payment on your new home in our community.
Medical Clinics
Saugeen Shores has three medical buildings. Port Elgin’s Dr. Earl Health Centre, operating under the Family Health Network (FHN) model, is situated at the edge of the commercial core and offers individual practice hubs.
The Saugeen Shores Medical Building, operating under the Family Health Organization (FHO) model, is adjacent to the local hospital and is a short two blocks from Southampton’s downtown. Both offer office and clinical space in Town-owned facilities.
A new VON Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic was opened in early 2025 in Port Elgin. This clinic is within walking distance to downtown.
