    The Town of Saugeen Shores is excited to partner with Bruce County to launch the Spruce the Bruce program on February 2, 2026. Spruce the Bruce provides grant funding to help strengthen communities as well as maintain and enhance downtown businesses.

  • Splish Splash Thank You Bash Celebrates Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre and Community Support

    On Saturday morning, the community came together to celebrate the official opening of the Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre at the Splish Splash Thank You Bash, a grand opening celebration dedicated to recognizing the donors, sponsors, and partners who made the state-of-the-art facility possible. 

  • Town Representatives Advocate for Local Priorities at ROMA 2026

    Representatives from the Town of Saugeen Shores are currently in Toronto, attending the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) conference from January 18-20. The ROMA Conference offers an opportunity for Ontario’s rural leaders to discuss local priorities and develop solutions to rural challenges. 

  • Bruce Telecom Contributes to Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre

    The Town of Saugeen Shores is proud to announce a generous $50,000 contribution of internet and phone services from Bruce Telecom to support the new Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre (AWC). This donation will be recognized through the sponsorship of the lifeguard station in the new facility. 

  • Grand Opening of the Pryde Aquatic & Wellness Centre

    The Town of Saugeen Shores is excited to invite the community to the Splish Splash Thank You Bash – Grand Opening and Donor Celebration at the new Pryde Aquatic & Wellness Centre. The event will take place on Saturday, January 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with doors opening at 9:00 a.m. and drop‑in attendance welcome throughout the morning.

    The Town of Saugeen Shores extends its congratulations and appreciation to Mark Paoli, who will retire from his position at the end of January after 3 years of service as Director of Development Services. As the Town recognizes Mark’s achievements, it is pleased to announce the hiring of Dwayne Evans as the new Director of Development Services.

  • Council Amends 2026 Business Plan to Reduce Tax Increase

    At its meeting on December 8, Saugeen Shores Council voted to amend the 2026 Business Plan, transferring $470,000 from the Tax Stabilization Reserve to reduce the proposed tax increase from 2.2% to 0.6%, excluding police. This adjustment reflects Council’s recognition of the financial pressures facing residents and aims to provide temporary relief from rising everyday expenses.

    On December 6, we come together to honor the memory of the 14 women whose lives were tragically taken at Polytechnique Montréal in 1989. Their loss remains a powerful reminder of the devastating impact of gender-based violence and the urgent need for change.
