We operate two tourist campgrounds in Port Elgin and Southampton from May 1 to October 31. Both camps offer full service sites for seasonal and overnight campers that are located near the downtown cores and beaches.

Short-Term Campsites and Reservations

The Town of Saugeen Shores is looking forward to transient overnight camping for the 2024 camping season. Short-term campsites are available at both campgrounds by the day, week or month.

If you're interested in reserving a transient campsite, please call 519-832-2008 ext 154 or book by email. 

The following rates do not include HST.

2025 Fees

May, June, September and October

  • Daily rate: $35.97
  • Weekly rate: $244.06

July and August

  • Daily rate: $59.09
  • Weekly rate: $411.04

 

Summer rates apply for transient camping over long weekends.

Seasonal Rates and Booking

We have suspended our waiting list for seasonal campsites. Check out the Trailers for Sale within the campgrounds. The following rates do not include HST.

2025 Fees

  • Seasonal campsite: $3,439.00
  • Seasonal boat parking: $277.39

Amenities

  • Fee for additional non-standard appliance: $86.34
  • Dumping station: $8.59

Payment Portal

Please use this online payment portal to pay your fees.  You can login with the unique reservation code that you received with your seasonal agreement.

Campground Rules and By-laws

Review our general rules to find out more about acceptable behaviour and items at both municipal camp sites.

 General Campground Rules

Note: The COVID-19 camper code of conduct may exceed these rules and is in place until further notice.

  1. Quiet hours begin at 11pm. Radios must be turned down at 11pm.
  2. All fires must be extinguished by 1:30am.
  3. Alcohol is not permitted off of your site.
  4. Alcohol and smoking is not permitted in washroom facilities.
  5. Visitors to your site are not permitted to enter the park after 10pm and must leave the camp by 12am (midnight).
  6. Campers wishing to change sites must obtain approval from camp staff prior to moving.
  7. Maximum of 6 people per site, including children.
  8. Maximum of 1 trailer or tent per site.
  9. Propane canisters must be disposed of properly. Do not put in household garbage. Please ask camp staff where to dispose of used canisters.
  10. Pets must be leashed and kept under control at all times.
  11. Campers must not deface camp property.
  12. Staff will collect garbage from short-term sites. Please leave it in a garbage bag in the bins provided on your lot. Garbage bags are available at the Camp Office.

The general campground rules apply to seasonal and short-term campers at the municipal campgrounds. Any camper or group not adhering to the rules may be evicted from the campground.

Looking for a different type of camping experience? There are lots of great options in Saugeen Shores.

  • MacGregor Point Provincial Park offers a variety of camping options including tent, trailer and yurt sites. The park offers nature trails, summer programs, and one of the most ecologically diverse natural places along the Lake Huron Shoreline.
  • Saugeen Bluffs Horse Camping and Conservation Area provides an opportunity for visitors to camp with their horses. The conservation area offers 15km of trails in mature woodlands for both campers and day rides, as well as other equine amenities.
