Please note, the Municipal Office (600 Tomlinson Drive, Port Elgin) will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 10:30am to 12:30pm to allow staff the opportunity to attend the Zgaa-biig-ni-gan Bridge Ceremony at 11:00am in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  

A second Public Information Centre (PIC) has been planned to provide an opportunity to review the study background, existing conditions, problems and opportunities and recommended solution. 

Police Parkette, located at 553 Goderich Street in Port Elgin, will be closed effective today, September 18, as the Town undertakes necessary repairs, maintenance, and improvements at the Parkette.

Scott Good and Randy Schnarr have been selected as this year’s recipients of the Annual Heritage Conservation Award, sponsored by the Municipal Heritage Committee.

The Saugeen Rail Trail will be closed at River Street in Port Elgin, beginning September 14, 2026, due to the River Street Reconstruction Project.

The Town of Saugeen Shores has received a number of inquiries regarding the purpose and objectives of the Tourist Camp Strategic Assessment that is currently underway. The assessment is not being used to determine whether the municipally-run Tourist Camps should continue to operate, and the Town is not intending to sell the camps.
