On National Indigenous Peoples Day, we recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada. This day offers an opportunity to reflect on the enduring presence of Indigenous communities, and to appreciate the knowledge, traditions, and perspectives that continue to shape our country. 

The Town of Saugeen Shores proudly marked the beginning of Pride Month with a Pride Flag Raising event held on June 1, 2026, at the Municipal Office. The event brought together Council, Town staff, community partners, and residents in a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and community vibrancy. 

The Town of Saugeen Shores is pleased to announce the execution of a four-year Infrastructure and Community Readiness Assessment Agreement with Bruce Power. Through the Agreement, the Town will receive $2 million in funding to enable municipal strategic planning and readiness assessment in preparation for the impacts of the Bruce C project.

The Town of Saugeen Shores acknowledges a decision of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice released on May 19, 2026, in Mann v. Town of Saugeen Shores following the hearing of the Town and Mr. Mann’s motions, on December 18, 2025.
