Home to hockey games, figure skating, public skates, and a variety of events, our arenas also offer multi-purpose rooms and halls, canteens and off-season floor rentals. The Southampton Coliseum is also home to the Southampton Curling Club.

Public Skating

The 2026 Spring and Summer skating season has come to an end. We look forward to welcoming skaters back for the 2026/27 Fall and Winter season!

Join us for the Public Skate starting:

Saturday, October 3 at the Plex, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Sunday, October 4 at the Coliseum, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Drop-in options include Public Skate, Adult, Parent and Tot (children under the age of 6) and PA Day Skates.

Fees are paid on arrival (cash only), and 2026-2027 skating memberships will be available to purchase at the Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre starting Monday, September 14, 2026.

Schedule will be posted mid September.

Fees are per skater. Fees are paid at the arena, and cash only.

Skating Memberships

Skating membership will be available for purchase at the Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre starting Monday, September 14. They can be used for any skate during the 2026-2027 skating schedule including the off season ice periods.

Skaters under 10 must be directly supervised by an adult on the ice
Skaters under 12 must be supervised by an adult
No figure skating except during Open Figure Skate
No food or drink on the ice surface
No horseplay, tag, racing, rough play etc.
No throwing snow
No balls, pucks, sticks, chairs, pylons etc. on the ice surface
No use of electronic devices (including smartphones)
Skate helpers/assists are available for use
Strollers may be pushed by an experienced skater
Skate in the direction of all skaters
Skate guards must be worn in the front lobby areas
Use of a helmet is strongly recommended for all skaters
Skates must be worn on the ice surface

Prime Time (after 5:00pm, weekends anytime): $200.58/hour
Non Prime Time (weekdays before 5:00pm): $142.75/hour
Last-Minute Ice (booked within 24 hours): $96.44/hour
Holiday Prime Time: $182.55/hour
Holiday Non Prime time: $122.41/hour
Insurance: $6.22 per ice rental for bookings under 3 hours

12 Month Ice Pilot Program

Background

The Town of Saugeen Shores is in year two of a 3-year pilot program offering year-round ice at the Saugeen Shores Community Complex (The Plex). Each year, expressions of interest are accepted in October, followed by a review and scheduling, groups are notified of their confirmed times. Check back in the fall for the 2027 submission period to open.
