Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre

The Fitness Centre has cardio, stretching, weight machines, and free weight areas. It is bright, clean and accessible!

If you are a new Active Pass holder or visiting for the first time, our staff will give you a Fitness Centre tour before you get going. 

Fitness Studio:

The Fitness Studio is your fitness class powerhouse! We offer everything from high-impact fitness to strength training, and yoga. Fitness classes are included in your All access Active Pass, Fitness Active Pass, or 10- visit Fitness Active Pass. Drop-in access is also available. 

When not in use for fitness classes, Fitness Centre users may access the Fitness Studio for stretching, self-led yoga, or warmups. Please be mindful of the posted fitness class schedules and room availability.

Group or team use of the fitness centre or studio is not permitted during drop-in times. To schedule a group fitness, or training session, please review our rental information.

Fitness Guidelines and Etiquette

Please review the Fitness Guidelines and Etiquette before using the fitness centre.

Youth Access:

• Youth 14 – 17 years old are welcome to use the Fitness Centre unaccompanied upon successful completion of the two-part Youth / Teen Fitness 101 orientation program. Youth 14-17 years old who have not completed the Youth / Teen Fitness 101 are able access the Fitness Centre under direct supervision of a parent / Guardian. All youth accessing the Fitness Centre must have a signed fitness waiver on file and wear a shoe-tag. 
• Youth 12 – 13 years old must have a parent or guardian present to access the Fitness Centre and always be under the direct supervision of an adult. Youth 12-13 years old are required to have a signed fitness waiver on and wear a shoe tag
• Youth must be 14 years of age or older to participate in group fitness classes.

Personal & Group Training

Personal training can be booked with any of our Pryde AWC personal trainers. Training can either be purchased in single block sessions or in packages of 10. We offer individual or small group training. Complete the form at the link below to get in touch with our team.

The Gymnasium is the hub of sports and activity at the Pryde AWC! From Basketball, to Badminton, to Pickleball, and Volleyball we have it all!

The Gymnasium is equipped with 3 badminton courts, 1 regulation size Basketball court (with 2 half courts), 3 Pickleball courts, 2 Volleyball courts, and a state-of-the art curtain system to divide the gym depending on what is happening!

Group or team use of the Gymnasium is not permitted during drop-in programming. Friend groups are permitted providing they are not taking exclusive use of programming.

The Indoor Track is a 125 meter 3-lane track wrapping around the Gymnasium.

In general, the track is open for use anytime the Pryde AWC is open. The track can be accessed with any Active Pass, drop-in visit, or in combination with any registered program within the Pryde AWC!

The Indoor Track schedule is included below. Please note during programmed times, the Indoor Track will be unavailable for public use.

Program descriptions:

• Talk & Trek - Enjoy movement and meaningful connection! Spend 30 minutes walking on the indoor track, followed by 30 minutes of socializing with fellow participants. Once a month, join in on a short expert-led discussion covering valuable topics to support your health and well-being. 
• Stroller Fit - Reconnect with your body and your baby in this gentle, energizing class designed for postnatal parents. Enjoy guided walks around the indoor track, light resistance training in the gym, and special moments of baby interaction. It's a great way to rebuild strength, boost your energy, and meet other parents, all in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Celebrate in style with our Celebration Packages! We’ll provide the room and take care of the basic decorations - you bring the guests, the energy, and the memories!

Our Celebration Packages come in a variety of options to fit your needs: 

• Swim – Grab your suit and get ready to hit the pool! Take your pick of the Leisure Pool or the Lap Pool. Both pools have a number of features to make sure your party is unforgettable.
• Gym – Get your play on in the Pryde AWC Gymnasium! Take your pick of Badminton, Basketball, Pickleball, Volleyball, or let your party guests burn off steam in their very own play zone - packed with ride‑on toys, tunnels, multi-sport fun, and plenty of room to wiggle, giggle, and explore!

All Celebration Packages include access to a party room and host to help keep the good-times rolling! Party hosts help with the decorating and will have everything ready to greet your guests when they arrive! 

We provide:

• Party Room (1 hour)
• Chosen activity (1 hour each)
• Basic party decorations (balloons, party banner, table covers, etc.)

Q: What swim options are available?

A: Choose between our Leisure Pool or Lap Pool, each offers unique features to keep the splash-factor high and smiles wide.

Q: What gym activities are available?

A: Your party can play badminton, basketball, pickleball, volleyball - or for younger guests, enjoy a Little / Mighty Gulls play zone filled with ride-on toys, tunnels, multi-sport equipment.

Q: How long is the party?

A: When you book a Celebration Package you get access to each activity or area for 1 hour each (i.e. pool for 1 hour, room for 1 hour)

Q: Can I bring my own food and cake?

A: Yes! You’re welcome to bring your pre-prepared food, cake, and drinks. Party hosts may assist with serving and getting everything organized. 

Most parties choose to order-in pizza or sandwiches to keep things simple. Please note that alcohol is not permitted and staff are unable to accept deliveries.

Q: How many guests can we invite?

A: All packages are designed to accommodate up to 25 guests including parents / guardians. Have more guests? No problem! Let us know before booking and we can create a custom Celebration Package ready to fit your needs! Please note additional fees may apply.

Q: Are parents / guardians required to supervise?

A: Yes - parents or guardians are required to supervise their guests with every activity but especially during swim parties. Lifeguards are present, but adults must swim to ensure the group meets swim ratios.

Q: Do you provide themed decorations?

A: We provide basic decorations including balloons, party banners, and paper table covers. You’re welcome to bring additional themed décor - just let us know in advance so we can help with setup. Pinatas are not permitted. Any additional decorations and set-up / tear-down must be completed within the allotted rental time. 

Thanks for your interest in renting space at the Pryde Aquatic & Wellness Centre! As we launch our first year of operations, we’ll be focusing on Town-led programming including memberships, registered programs, and drop-in activities.

One-off rentals will not be available until spring 2026. Regular recurring rentals for user groups will become available mid-2027, as we take time to understand how the centre functions and ensure a balanced experience for all users.
