The Town of Saugeen Shores Zoning By-law regulates land use in our community. It dictates what types of buildings are allowed, where they can be located, lot sizes and dimensions, parking requirements, building heights, property lines and more.

Requesting changes to the by-law
If your proposed project is not allowed by the Zoning By-law, you can request the following changes:
- Minor Variance – Apply for small changes to the Zoning By-law
- Zoning By-law Amendment – Apply for more substantial changes to the Zoning By-law
Applications for either a Minor Variance or Zoning By-law Amendment are administered by the County of Bruce Planning Department.

If you’re buying, selling or mortgaging a property, you may need a letter of zoning compliance. You can request a letter or your lawyer can request it on your behalf.
