Tree of Significance Program

Throughout Saugeen Shores, there are many trees that stand out in the community as cultural and natural assets. This program commemorates trees that enhance the landscape, represent events or celebrations in our past, or carry special meaning to the community.

You can commemorate a significant tree by posting a photo on social media with the hashtag #saugeentrees or by emailing the photo to the Heritage Committee.

Tree Sculpture Program

When a tree reaches the end of its lifespan, the tree sculpture program allows the tree to become a piece of art. The tree sculpture is installed in the tree's original location.
