Saugeen Shores operates three medical buildings with doctors and nurse practitioners serving patients in the municipality. 

Dr. Earl Health Centre (Port Elgin) 

This medical practice is located on Ontario Highway 21 (Goderich Street) in Port Elgin. It is home to six doctors.

This medical practice is located next door to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital. It is home to five doctors.

VON Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (Port Elgin) 

The VON Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (NPLC) is located on Gustavus Street in Port Elgin. It is home to four nurse practitioners. 

The NPLC serves Saugeen Shores residents who don't have a primary care provider. These residents can register through Health Care Connect to become a permanent patient of a nurse practitioner (up to the clinic's maximum capacity). Same-day, urgent services are also available for residents without a primary care provider.

Walk-in for referrals, resources, harm reduction, Naloxone and/or mental health support. No appointment is necessary and there is no charge. 

Port Elgin:  (Bruce County Outreach – including a number of service providers ) Every 3rd Thursday of the Month, Noon-2 p.m., Living Hope Centre, 515 Goderich Street. 

Walk-in locations hosted by Brightshores Health System across Grey Bruce. 

Wes for Youth Online 

Wes for Youth (Wellness & Emotional Support) is an area e-counselling service which allows youth to connect with a professional and qualified counsellor by self-referral, to explore the issues being faced in a secure and virtual environment. 

The Town of Saugeen Shores is actively recruiting family physicians to work in clinics, hospital, and emergency room (ER) settings.
