Grey Bruce Public Health has posted Port Elgin Main Beach and Southampton Beach as unsafe for swimming after water-sampling results showed bacterial levels exceeding Ontario Ministry of Health standards.

The Woodland Trail is an adventurous, forested trail through Saugeen Township. You'll feel totally at peace in nature. The trail is ideal for hiking, mountain bikes, hybrids or fat bikes. There is parking an accessible year-round washroom facility at the 10th Concession.
Connect to the North Shore trail via the Pegasus Trails subdivision or the neighbouring Biener's Bush trails at the10th Concession.
