Splash Pads

Saugeen Shores is home to two fully accessible splash pads, offering fun and refreshing spaces for families to enjoy all summer long. 

Port Elgin Splash Pad – North Shore Park - 84 McVicar Street, Port Elgin 

Southampton Splash Pad – Jubilee Park - 50 Victoria Street South, Southampton 

  • No smoking 

  • No food, drinks, dogs, skateboards, rollerblades, wheeled shoes or bicycles on the splash pad 

  • Children must be always supervised. The splash pad is not supervised by Town staff. 

  • Swimsuits and/or appropriate attire must be worn. Infants and toddlers must wear swim diapers 

  • Footwear is recommended 

  • No climbing on spray equipment 

  • In case of lightning or thunder, vacate the area immediately 

  • No soap, detergent or shampoo is allowed on the splash pad 

  • If you have a communicable disease, open sores or skin infections do not use the splash pad 

  • Please use the splash pads at your own risk 

  • The Town of Saugeen Shores is not responsible for and accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury or death claim suffered by any person related to the access and use of this area, however caused. 

Each location features its own unique design. The Southampton splash pad celebrates a firefighting theme, fittingly located next to the Southampton Fire Station. The Port Elgin splash pad at North Shore Park embraces a woodland theme, complementing its natural surroundings. Hours of Operation 

Splash pads operate on weekends in June, 7 days a week in July and August, and weekends in September.   Open 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Both locations offer accessible pathways, and the North Shore Park site includes a public washroom open daily.
