Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Environmental Compliance Approval
The Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) has recently modernized its Environmental Compliance Approval application process. It is now called the Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Environmental Compliance Approval (CLI ECA). The Town is now responsible for these approvals.
To streamline this process, the Town has implemented an online application process for developers seeking municipal CLI ECAs for the municipal sewage collection system and stormwater management system. The Town has integrated Form 1 – Watermain application into the process as well.
Developer and their Engineering Consultant are responsible for completing these forms (similar to the former MECP C of A Application). Please also note the Ministry's new post-construction requirements.
Application Process
- Complete the application package specific to your request(s) (forms listed below)
- Submit completed application package(s) using this form: Submit an application for Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Environmental Compliance Approval (CLI ECA).
- Visit the Town of Saugeen Shores Municipal Office (600 Tomlinson Dr, Port Elgin, ON) to complete your payment.
