Planning Responsibilities
Planning-related duties and decision-making are shared among the County, Town, Committee of Adjustment and Council.
County |

The County administers the process for Minor Variances, Zoning By-law Amendments, Official Plan Amendments, Consents/Severances and Plans of Subdivisions and Condos. If you have any questions about these development activities, contact the County Planning Department. |
Town |

The Town administers the process for Site Plans and Subdivision/Condominium Agreements. |
Committee of Adjustment |
|
The Committee of Adjustment makes decisions on Minor Variances. The Committee meets once per month to consider applications. |
Council |
|
All other planning applications aside from Minor Variances are considered by Town Council. |
