Road Concerns

Road Occupancy Permit
A Road Occupancy Permit (R.O.P) is required by any person, agency or contractor working on or occupying the road allowance on assumed Town Roads. You cannot block any portion of a town right-of-way without a permit. Contractors, homeowners and others who are planning any activity (such as, but not limited to construction, landscaping etc.) must apply for a road occupancy permit. Town of Saugeen Shores may issue fines or an order to stop work.
Municipal Consent Permit
Before starting any work or project, utility companies and infrastructure owners must get a Municipal Consent Permit to install their infrastructure (i.e. cables, conduit, pipes) within the Town's road allowance. This includes digging up or disturbing the boulevard, sidewalk, or road.
