The Town of Saugeen Shores owns, operates and maintains the Town’s water and wastewater distribution/collection systems. These systems are operated under an agreement with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA).

The municipal water treatment plan is located in Southampton.

There are over 150 km of water mains/municipal mains within Saugeen Shores.

There are two sanitary wastewater collection systems within Saugeen Shores, with two municipal wastewater treatment plants. One is located in Southampton and the other is located in Port Elgin.

There are over including 130 km of wastewater mains and forcemains in Saugeen Shores.

The Town of Saugeen Shores issues Water/Wastewater Invoices on a bi-monthly basis. Invoices are issued in February, April, June, August, October and December. All invoices are payable on or before the last business day of the month it was issued in.
