  • Town releases 2024 Annual Report

    Last night, Council received the Saugeen Shores 2024 Annual Report, which outlines the municipality’s actions over the past year to advance the Pillars and Directions of the Town’s Strategic Plan. The report highlights key achievements and measures progress against the goals established in the 2024 Business Plan. 

  • Town receives $1.9M in Provincial funding

    The Town of Saugeen Shores has received a grant of $1,928,125 through the Housing-Enabling Core Servicing (HECS) stream of the Provincial Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program (MHIP). The funding is allocated for the construction of Ridge Street from Ivings Drive to Bruce Road 25.  

  • Saugeen Shores receives federal funding for housing initiatives

    The Town of Saugeen Shores has been awarded funding of approximately $3.2 million from the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Housing Accelerator Fund. The funding will advance the Town’s ongoing efforts to expand housing opportunities, with an anticipated result of approximately 450 new homes in the next decade. The work will be carried out through eight municipal initiatives that will implement long-term strategies to increase housing opportunities in Saugeen Shores while removing barriers and streamlining approval processes. 

  • Town of Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation sign Friendship Accord

    In a historic moment, the Town of Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation have signed their first ever Friendship Accord - Wiijkiwenydiwaad Miinwa Zgaabiignigan, meaning ‘Friends with one another and we are connected’. The accord embodies a shared commitment between the Town and the Nation to talk together in partnership, fostering collaboration that honors the past, strengthens our communities, and nurtures a prosperous future for the region as a whole. 

  • Town Collaborates with Bruce County to Launch the Spruce the Bruce Program on February 1

    The Town of Saugeen Shores is excited to partner with Bruce County to launch the Spruce the Bruce program on February 1, 2025. Spruce the Bruce provides grant funding to help strengthen communities and maintain and enhance downtown businesses. Eligible businesses and property owners are encouraged to learn more and apply at sprucethebruce.com

  • Town Advocates for Local Priorities at ROMA

    Representatives from the Town of Saugeen Shores are currently in Toronto, attending the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) conference and meeting with provincial leaders on several key priorities for the municipality.
