Zoning By-law Amendment - Z-2025-032 (Wurmli)

The purpose of the application is to seek relief from the Minimum Distance Separation II from a proposed manure storage enlargement and barn expansion. The proposed setback from the existing barn to a neighbouring residential dwelling is proposed to be 99 m whereas the required setback is 123m. The applicant is seeking relief for 24 m. The proposed setback from the manure storage to a neighbouring residential dwelling is proposed to be 130 m whereas the required MDS setback to the storage must be 211m. The applicant is seeking relief for 81 m. The proposal meets the MDS requirements for all other facilities and setbacks from property boundaries and roads. If approved, the application would facilitate manure storage enlargement and barn expansion on the existing farm property located at 168 Concession 8E.

Local Official Plan Amendment – L-2025-015 and Zoning By-law Amendment – Z-2025-046 (Town of Saugeen Shores)

The purpose of the application is to amend the Official Plan designation of lands southwest of Highway 21 and Concession 10 from Highway Commercial to Residential; and to amend the zoning on a portion of the property from Planned Development (PD) to Residential Third Density (R3) with site-specific provisions. If approved, the application would facilitate the development of two, 14-unit stacked townhouse buildings.

Draft Plan of Subdivision - S-2024-009 and Zoning By-law Amendment - Z-2024-052 (Bluewater)

The purposed of the application is to subdivide the subject lands and create site specific zoning by-law provisions to facilitate the development of 15 townhome lots. Four blocks would be created for stormwater management infrastructure, walkways and drainage.

Southampton Two-Zone Floodplain Management Concept Update

Council heard a report regarding the floodplain modelling for the implementation of a Two-Zone Floodplain Management Concept completed by Greenland Consulting Engineers. To utilize the mapping and develop a Two-Zone Floodplain Management Concept, an amendment to the Town of Saugeen Shores Official Plan and Zoning By-law is required. This report is to initiate the amendment process based on the updated modelling.

Northport Meadows Phase 2B Subdivision Agreement

The lands are subject to a Draft Plan of Subdivision, and the developer is prepared to enter into a Subdivision Agreement to develop 65 townhouse dwelling lots fronting onto Rosner Drive in Port Elgin.

Summerside Phase 11 Subdivision Agreement

The lands are subject to a Draft Plan of Subdivision, and the developer is prepared to enter into a Subdivision Agreement to develop a school block fronting onto Waterloo Street in Port Elgin.

Cultural Heritage Official Plan Amendment

Council adopted By-law 72-2025, as amended. Additionally, a section was proposed to further amend the Official Plan that would define the character of Saugeen Shores for planning purposes. Council deferred consideration of this proposed amendment to provide notice and hold a public meeting.
