Court Releases Decision in Mann v. Town of Saugeen Shores

The Town of Saugeen Shores acknowledges a decision of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice released on May 19, 2026, in Mann v. Town of Saugeen Shores following the hearing of the Town and Mr. Mann’s motions, on December 18, 2025.    

Mann’s application substantially sought judicial review of Council’s 2022 decisions declaring lands “surplus” and confirming the related by-law and long-term lease arrangements associated with the Cedar Crescent Village development. 

The Court granted the Town’s motion to strike the application and dismissed it, finding it was an abuse of process in light of the terms of a prior settlement between the parties, and it was commenced outside of the applicable limitation periods.
