The Town of Saugeen Shores is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) focused on examining alternatives for increasing available water storage within the Saugeen Shores Drinking Water System.

The Town of Saugeen Shores invites you to engage with us as we evaluate ways to Upgrade the Port Elgin Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) located at 123 Lehnen Street, Saugeen Shores, ON to manage peak wet weather flow received at the plant.

Beginning early August (August 4^th), the Contractor plans to mobilize to start the Richard Crescent Reconstruction Project.

The Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) has approved planning applications submitted for 15 Market Street, Port Elgin. The planning applications are a County Official Plan Amendment, a Town Official Plan Amendment, a Town Zoning By-law Amendment, and a Draft Plan of Subdivision consisting of 141 residential units. 

The Town of Saugeen Shores marked a major milestone for affordable housing today. In partnership with Wilson Developments and Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce, the Town celebrated the groundbreaking of a new affordable housing development, a significant step forward in expanding access to attainable homeownership and addressing local housing needs.

Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling (BASWR) invites residents to participate in the upcoming Virtual Public Town Hall, facilitated by KPMG Canada, as part of their ongoing service review. The public meeting is a chance to learn more about the proposed re-designed governance model for BASWR.
