Mayor Luke Charbonneau acclaimed as Bruce County Warden for second term
The Town of Saugeen Shores congratulates Mayor Luke Charbonneau on being acclaimed as Bruce County’s Warden for 2025-2026 term at the Inaugural Council Meeting held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Walkerton. “Mayor Charbonneau’s steady leadership and collaborative approach have benefited Saugeen Shores and communities across Bruce County,” says Town CAO Kara Van Myall. “From advancing affordable housing and supporting local businesses to championing innovation in the clean energy sector, his work reflects the priorities of our residents. We’re proud to see him continue that service as Warden.”
Bruce County Council is made up of the locally elected Mayors of the eight lower-tier municipalities in the County. The Council oversees a diverse set of functions that ranges from roads/bridges, delivering social programs and land use planning services, long term care, and paramedic services to providing arts and cultural experiences through the museum, libraries, and tourism.
Mayor Charbonneau was elected to Town of Saugeen Shores Council in 2006. He served one term as Councillor and two terms as Deputy Mayor before becoming Mayor in 2018.
Saugeen Shores looks forward to continued partnership with Bruce County under Warden Luke Charbonneau’s leadership.
