Nomination Period Now Open for the 2026 Municipal Election

The Town of Saugeen Shores is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Municipal Election, taking place on Monday, October 26, 2026. The nomination period runs from May 1 to August 21, 2026. 

Individuals who are interested in running for the office of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Vice Deputy Mayor, Ward Councillor, or School Board Trustee can now pick up a Candidate Information Package, available in person at the Municipal Office during regular business hours or online on the Town’s Elections webpage. 

By running for Council, residents can make a meaningful difference by contributing their ideas, skills, and perspectives to help guide the Town’s growth and direction. Members of Council are responsible for setting priorities, representing community voices, and making decisions that affect day‑to‑day life in Saugeen Shores.
