Notice of Election Information

The Town of Saugeen Shores wishes to remind eligible electors of important information regarding the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. The upcoming municipal election will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026.

Voting Period and Methods

The Town of Saugeen Shores will be using internet and telephone voting for the 2026 election. Paper ballots will not be available. Electors may cast their vote online or by telephone beginning:

• Monday, October 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
• Until Monday, October 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.

You will receive your Voter Information Letter (VIL) in the mail. Your VIL will provide you with the information required to vote by internet or telephone

Voting Assistance Centre

A Voting Assistance Centre will be available at the Pryde Aquatic & Wellness Centre (AWC) throughout the voting period to assist electors with internet voting and election-related questions.

Voting Assistance Centre Hours:

• Monday, October 19, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, October 20 to Friday, October 23, 2026: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Saturday, October 24, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Sunday, October 25, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Monday, October 26, 2026: 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Our Elections Team has been working with our Long-Term Care Homes to ensure that residents are registered and able to vote. 

Official Voters’ List

The Voters' List is now considered the official list of electors for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. Residents are encouraged to review their information and ensure it is accurate.

If you need to:

• Update your name or address;
• Correct information on the Voters' List; or
• Be added to the Voters' List.

Please visit the Elections Team at the Town Office and provide your Form 24 (EL15) – Application to Amend Voters' List along with acceptable identification.

Electors requiring accommodations are encouraged to contact the Elections Team to arrange assistance.
