Reduced Load Period on Saugeen Shores roads begins March 1

Please note the following restriction in accordance with Town of Saugeen Shores Traffic By-law 68-2021, section 15.13.

Reduced Load Period to be in effect from March 1 to April 16 unless otherwise posted on the Town website. Weight is limited to 5 tonnes per axle. Exception is granted Concession 10 from Highway 21 easterly 830m.

During the spring thaw, roads are far more susceptible to damage from heavy loads. The purpose of the reduced load season is to minimize that damage, which extends the life of the road.
