‘Spring Cleaning Week’ planned for April 18-26

Saugeen Shores community members are invited to refresh public spaces.

As winter fades and the snow melts, debris can be left behind in parks, trails and public spaces. Spring Cleaning Week (April 18 to 26) invites residents, schools, businesses, and community groups to come together to restore and renew these spaces.

Spring Cleaning Week offers a great opportunity to have fun, enjoy some fresh air and make a positive impact. The event also overlaps with National Volunteer Week, which reminds us of the value of volunteering.

The Town makes it easy to help clean up the community by providing gloves and bags, and by picking up garbage bags following your cleanup. Volunteers can sign up as individuals or teams, making it a great opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours, organizations to team-build, and community groups to make a visible impact.

Register by visiting www.saugeenshores.ca/SpringClean and choosing a date and location. Volunteers will be entered into a draw to win one of three Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre 10-Visit Punch Passes.

Supplies will be available for pick-up at the Pryde AWC beginning April 15.
