Update: Saugeen Shores Ends Significant Weather Event – January 29, 2026 

The Significant Weather Event which began January 19, 2026 has now ended, as of January 29, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. 

Please continue to use appropriate caution on roads and sidewalks as regular winter maintenance activities continue in Saugeen Shores.

The Town of Saugeen Shores has declared a Significant Weather Event due to winter weather, effective 12:15 p.m. on January 19, 2026, and continuing until further notice. 

Declaration of a Significant Weather Event indicates that due to current or forecasted conditions, caution should be used when traveling on municipal roads and sidewalks. It also means the Town may require additional time to clear and maintain roads and sidewalks.  

A Significant Weather Event does not indicate a reduced level of service or a road closure.
