Port Elgin Main Beach, Southampton Beach posted unsafe for swimming
Grey Bruce Public Health has posted Port Elgin Main Beach and Southampton Beach as unsafe for swimming after water-sampling results showed bacterial levels exceeding Ontario Ministry of Health standards.

The section of Woodland Trail between South St and Intersection 6 is closed due to hazardous trees.
Maintenance is scheduled for early next week (week of December 15, 2025). Please avoid this section of trail until work can be completed.
