The Town of Saugeen Shores has declared a Significant Weather Event due to observed and forecasted conditions, effective 8:00 a.m. on February 18, 2026, and continuing until further notice.
Charitable and not-for-profit organizations located in Saugeen Shores can apply to the municipality for a lottery licence for raffle lotteries, break open tickets, and bingo events.

All other lottery licences are issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
Only a charitable or not-for-profit organization is permitted to have a lottery licence. Learn more about how eligibility is determined and what documents are required with your application.
A charitable lottery is charitable gaming that includes a prize, a chance to win a prize, and a fee being charged.
Please review the following information before submitting an application:
The fee for a raffle licence and Catch the Ace Raffle is 3% of the prize value.
The fee for a Break Open Ticket licence is 3% of the prize value.
The fee for a Bingo licence is 3% of the prize value.
