Freedom of Information Requests

The Town of Saugeen Shores is committed to transparency and will provide as much information as possible to the public, while protecting personal and confidential details in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA). 

In many cases, information can be provided informally, and no formal request is needed. We encourage you to reach out directly to the appropriate department to make your request. 

If a formal Freedom of Information (FOI) request is required, an application fee of $5.00 must be submitted. Additional fees may apply for services such as photocopying or printing. 

You also have the right to access or request corrections to your own personal information held by the Town. All such requests will be handled in compliance with MFIPPA guidelines. 

Please note: If you are requesting records or information from the Saugeen Shores Police Service, you will need to contact them directly.
