Public Feedback and Engagement

The Town of Saugeen Shores is committed to open, transparent, and meaningful engagement with our community. Public input plays an important role in shaping decisions, improving services, and planning for the future of our municipality.

Through a variety of engagement tools, residents, businesses, and stakeholders have opportunities to share their perspectives, stay informed, and help guide Town initiatives.

Engage Saugeen Shores

Engage Saugeen Shores is the Town’s online public engagement platform. It is designed to make it easy for community members to learn about Town projects, plans, and policies, and to share feedback in a clear and accessible way.
Through Engage Saugeen Shores, you can:
  • Learn about current and upcoming Town initiatives
  • Review project details, timelines, and background information
  • Participate in surveys, discussion forums, and idea-sharing activities
  • See how public input is helping to inform decisions
Engage Saugeen Shores allows the Town to gather a wide range of perspectives while providing residents with a transparent view of how engagement is being carried out. Feedback collected through this platform helps ensure decisions reflect community priorities and local knowledge.

FlashVote Citizen Panel

The FlashVote Citizen Panel is another way the Town gathers quick, focused input from the community. FlashVote uses short surveys to ask residents for their opinions on specific topics, helping Council and staff understand community sentiment before decisions are made.
Key features of FlashVote include:
  • Short surveys that take only a few minutes to complete
  • Questions delivered by email or text message
  • Opportunities to participate from home or on the go
  • Results that are shared with Council and summarized for the public
Participation in FlashVote is voluntary, and residents can choose how often and how they receive surveys. This approach helps the Town hear from a broad cross-section of the community in a timely and convenient way.

Report a Concern

In addition to participating in engagement activities, residents can also use the Report a Concern form to bring attention to specific issues that require follow-up, such as:

  • Road, sidewalk, or trail issues
  • Parks or facility maintenance concerns
  • By-law or property-related issues
  • Service requests or operational matters

The Report a Concern form allows you to submit details directly to the appropriate Town department, helping staff respond efficiently and track issues to resolution.
