The Town of Saugeen Shores recognizes and thanks the Power Workers’ Union (PWU) for their generous $100,000 sponsorship of the second level viewing area of the Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre (AWC). 

As winter fades and the snow melts, debris can be left behind in parks, trails and public spaces. Spring Cleaning Week (April 18 to 26) invites residents, schools, businesses, and community groups to come together to restore and renew these spaces. 

Please note the following closures and modified hours for municipal facilities on Good Friday (April 3, 2026), Easter Sunday (April 5, 2026), and Easter Monday (April 6, 2026)...

A fundraising closeout report presented to Council on March 23 announced that the Town of Saugeen Shores has exceeded its $3 million goal for the Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre (AWC) fundraising campaign, raising a total of $3,135,991 over the past two and a half years. 

The Town of Saugeen Shores continues to make significant progress in expanding housing opportunities as it receives the third installment of funding through the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s (CMHC) Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF). 

The Town of Saugeen Shores is pleased to welcome Kaitlin Bos as the new Manager, Legislative Services/Clerk.  

A comprehensive review of the CCV project and its associated agreements has been completed.  Consequently, the Town is now taking steps to assert its rights under the Lease and Site Works & Servicing Agreement, which includes the Town’s right to terminate the Lease. 

At its February 23 meeting, Saugeen Shores Council received the Town‘s 2025 Annual Report, outlining the municipality’s work over the past year to advance the Pillars and Directions of the Town’s Strategic Plan. The report highlights key accomplishments achieved in 2025 and measures progress against the goals set out in the 2025 Business Plan.

The Town of Saugeen Shores is excited to partner with Bruce County to launch the Spruce the Bruce program on February 2, 2026. Spruce the Bruce provides grant funding to help strengthen communities as well as maintain and enhance downtown businesses.
